pidgin-otr software package provides Off-the-Record Messaging plugin for Pidgin, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pidgin-otr
pidgin-otr is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pidgin-otr package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pidgin-otr *
You will get with pidgin-otr package name, version, architecture and description in a table
